Syracuse Boom Babies boutique’ take on latest fall fashion trends

Where every Syracuse fashionista must shop fall fashion

Fall is here in Syracuse and locally owned Boom Babies boutique has all the latest fall fashion styles. Boom Babies boutique’ effort goes far and wide to bring one of the biggest selections of dresses to the Syracuse area.

Bailey Eggleston, Boom Babies employee, says the trends to look for when shopping this fall are velvet, glitter stretch and holographic.

Eggleston said Sherri Hill’s new fall collection showcases lots of glitters and sparkle. Some of the other trendy features, she said, are gold lace applique and hot press ab stones.

The store’s owner, Lorraine Koury, and the team attended fashion shows in Atlanta and New York to broaden their inventory and bring the latest fall fashion styles. They went to over 30 manufacturers to bring diverse dress selections for one of a kind experience found only in Syracuse. In the process, the store’s tight-knit staff each bring their personal styles into the inventory.

“We have such a big staff, and we all have an opinion on what kind of dresses we choose,” Eggleston said

The store stocks vintage and vintage reproduction expressing a nostalgic, yet modern feeling. In the 80s, the store only carried retro style fashions but branched into modern styles over time.

Though Koury’s style trends old-fashioned, she knows when she’s found something unique and timeless.

“When she shops, she shops for things you don’t see today,” employee Louise Massicci said.

The eclectic inventory attracts customers of all kinds. Retro style girls from Salt City Belles and Beaus to people from across regions can be found shopping here. Massicci, the first ever employee at Boom Babies, described how one family brought all their friends from Canada. It turned out to be an intimate experience for Massicci.

“I watched [our employees] dress all of them and grow up here,” she said.

If you’re not into glitter or sparkles this fall, you can try Eggleston’s personal favorite fifties pin-up.

“I think it’s something timeless,” she said.

Their wide collection brings you top designers including Jovani, Sherri Hill, and Faviana. Eggleston recommends the designers to look out for this fall are Amelia Couture and Alice.

At Boom Babies, a trend is a personal touch. Once you say yes to the dress, their prom registry assures your dress won’t go to anyone else.
