Where to Find Wood-Fired Pizza in Syracuse After Food Truck Season Ends

Wood-fired pizza is one of the best types of pizza. Made at a higher temperature, it cooks faster and has a unique flavor. If you’ve been enjoying Syracuse’s food trucks that offer wood-fired pizza then you’ll be sad to hear that food truck season is coming to a close.  As we say goodbye to some of our favorite Syracuse food trucks that serve wood-fired pizza, here is where to find wood-fired pizza after food truck season ends.

1. Toss N’ Fire Pizza

Location: 315 N Main St. Syracuse, NY 13212

If you’ve seen The Toss N’ Fire Pizza Truck around Syracuse before and tried their pizza, then you’ll know why they were voted best food truck in Syracuse three years in a row. If you didn’t get a chance to try them over the summer though, don’t worry, they have a physical location in Cicero. Their pizza options include some interesting toppings. Such as a salt potato pizza that includes smashed salt potatoes, mozzarella, pecorino, cheddar, and applewood smoked bacon. They serve more than just pizza though so be sure to look at their menu.

2. Apizza Regionale 

Location: 260 W Genesee St. Syracuse, NY 13202

Located right near downtown Syracuse, Apizza Regionale is another wood-fired pizza place to try over the winter. The sausage and mozzarella are made in house daily and their menu is full of traditional Italian items to try. If you’re just looking for pizza they have nine options to choose from and the ability to customize any pie. They have both a lunch and dinner menu but the pizza options remain the same on each.

3. A Mano Bar and Restaurant 

Location: 344 S Warren St, Syracuse, NY 13202

A mano serves six different wood-fired pizza options. Their wood-fired cuisine doesn’t stop there though. You can get wood-fired cauliflower, brie, fish, and wings. The chefs at a mano prefer cooking with the brick oven due to its speed and chef Alex Fiacchi, the co-owner, even says he thinks wood-fired pizza tastes better. The menu at a mano is always changing so be sure to check them out on a regular basis for something new.

4. Vicinos Brick & Brew 

Location: 7789 Brewerton Rd. Syracuse, NY 13212

If you are gluten-free or vegan but still want to indulge in a good slice of wood-fired pizza then Vicinos Brick & Brew is a good option for you. They offer cauliflower crust and vegan cheese on their menu as well as a slew of other more traditional types of wood-fired pizza. As indicated in the name, Vicinos also offers up a wide variety of beer options to enjoy with your pizza.
